Introduction – We waited so long, but finally Black Clover is back!
When the Black Clover anime dropped its final episode in March 2021 (episode 170), my heart started feeling a little empty. Asta’s yells, Yuno’s silent badass mode, and the politics of the Clover Kingdom all came to a halt. And yes, after that in 2023, the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie gave us some relief, but let’s be real, we all wanted a proper season back.
And finally, after the bomb that Crunchyroll dropped at Anime Expo 2025, the whole fandom literally started screaming. Black Clover is officially returning with Season 2! Studio Pierrot has confirmed, and production has also begun. I want to say that WE ARE UPP! The Journey So Far – Asta and How Much We Have Grown For those who have followed Black Clover from the beginning, this anime is not just a fantasy story, it’s been an emotional ride.
Asta’s dream of becoming the greatest despite being “magic-less”, Yuno’s calm yet competitive vibe, and the royal discrimination within the Clover Kingdom were all a kind of social commentary as well. And while the animation was a bit shaky in the beginning, people never lost hope. Slowly, the animation style improved (thank you Studio Pierrot), the fight scenes got insane, and the story had a new twist after each arc. The Elf Reincarnation Arc and the Spade Kingdom Arc broke the internet.
But as soon as the anime ended, people got confused about whether this was the ending. Should we follow till the manga? The movie came out, but it wasn’t canon. So now, with Black Clover Season 2 finally announced, it’s like we’re back home again.
Season 2 Announcement – Everything Confirmed (And What’s Cooking)
So Crunchyroll dropped a teaser visual and short trailer during the Anime Expo on July 5, 2025, and then what, the fandom exploded. Officially Studio Pierrot has announced that the next season of the Black Clover anime (called Season 2 in international markets) is in production.
“Asta is returning to TV stronger, louder, and more determined than ever.”
In the teaser, Asta was seen in a new gear and there were shadows of some new villains in the background. So far it is also confirmed that it will stream globally on Crunchyroll. The Japanese broadcast dates are not out yet, but according to insiders, we will be able to see everything by late 2025 or early 2026.

What to Expect in Black Clover Season 2 – Manga Readers Know It’s Gonna Be Wild
Manga readers, I see you. You all already know what is going to happen in the next arc. Warning: light spoilers ahead.
Season 2 most likely will pick up from Chapter 272 onwards where the Spade Kingdom Raid arc ends and the storyline after the “Time Skip” begins. Asta has started to control more Devil powers, and in the aftermath of Lucifero, the Clover Kingdom is preparing for a new threat.
The truth of Yuno’s lineage, the twist surrounding Julius Novachrono, and the rise of Lucius Zogratis are all so layered that this season will be political, psychological, and emotionally very intense.
And yes, if you haven’t read the manga I just want to say this: You’re not ready for what’s coming. Especially the Ultimate Wizard King arc guarantees literal goosebumps.
Studio Pierrot – Will they match expectations this time?
Look, Pierrot has given iconic shows like Naruto, Bleach, and Black Clover. But their track record has been mixed when it comes to consistent animation. But since they have taken their level to the next stage after Bleach: TYBW, fans are quite hopeful that Black Clover Season 2 will also come with high-quality animation.
Crunchyroll’s global distribution means that both the budget and exposure will be solid. So yes, this time we are not expecting low-res fight scenes, we want cinematic battles!
Fandom Reactions –
Reddit, Twitter (sorry, X), Discord – the same reaction everywhere: “Black Clover is back, baby!” One fan wrote:
“I literally woke up chilling and Asta came back in my dreams brother!”
And honestly, I can relate. Amidst so many anime announcements, this one hit differently. Black Clover fans have always supported this franchise, whether it’s the movie, manga, or the struggle after a hiatus.
Hashtags like #BlackCloverSeason2, #WeAreUpp, and #AstaReturns are trending.

Why This Return Matters – More Than Just Another Anime Season
Black Clover’s return is not just an anime comeback, it is a reminder to all those who were underestimated. Like Asta, who everyone said could never become the Wizard King, he proved that determination and hard work are no less than magic.
This anime is for all those who were considered weak, who are competing without any advantage. And so, when Asta comes back on screen, he will not be just a character, he will represent an entire generation that takes “never giving up” seriously.
Conclusion – Let’s Fly High Again, Together!
So, if you are a fan of Black Clover or thinking of becoming a new viewer, get ready now as Season 2 is going to be a rollercoaster. Manga readers are already hyped, but for anime-only people, it will be a whole new journey, full of shocks, twists, and epic moments.
I just want to say this: Asta is back. We are all going back to that world where magic is nothing, but willpower is the biggest tool.
Tell me in the comments which moment are you waiting for the most. And if you are new, there will never be a better time to start Black Clover. LET’S GO, MAGIC KNIGHTS!
